Who we are
Transcendent Futures is a consulting group dedicated to supporting public, private, and civil society leaders in their pursuit of social change. Our highest aspiration is to be an imagination, design, and action lab paving new paths to freedom and justice.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary offers the following definition for the word transcendent: the Latin verb scandere means "to climb", so transcend has the basic meaning of climbing so high that you cross some boundary. A transcendent experience is one that takes you out of yourself and convinces you of a larger life or existence; in this sense, it means something close to "spiritual".
We believe social change work is inherently spiritual in this sense. Our approach to social change is rooted in love and faith. Love for humankind and faith that our collective reality can be different. Only if we work for it.

Our Founder + Principal
Jonathan Jayes-Green is the Founder + Principal of Transcendent Futures, an imagination, design, and action lab powering social change.
Jonathan Jayes-Green is committed to the effective and innovative deployment of capital for the public good. Jonathan brings over a decade of nonprofit, philanthropy, and political experience in senior leadership roles. Jonathan Jayes-Green recently earned a Master in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School while completing a Gleitsman Fellowship at the Harvard Center for Public Leadership.
Jonathan serves on the boards of eBay Foundation, Funders of LGBTQ Issues, and Hispanics in Philanthropy. Jonathan’s profile and contributions to social justice movements are featured at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, DC.
